"It was a wonderful way to bring the community together to enjoy a day of fun and festivities along the river while making a positive impact. The proceeds from the day made a lifetime of memories for a very special boy.

Sirdarius, age 12, was diagnosed with sickle cell disease. While being treated at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, this brave boy was told he could dream. A "dream" is more than a destination, item, or meet & experience, but a gateway to hope and optimism during a difficult time in a child's life. From the beginning, Sirdarius knew what he wanted to do. Go to Universal Studios! Sirdarius and his family enjoyed a weeklong stay at Give Kids the World Village for critically-ill children located in Central Florida. This 89-acre resort is a theme park within itself boasting whimsical rides, special themed events, fishing pond, putt-putt golf, movie theater and ice cream every day...all day! In addition to the resort, Sirdarius and his family received passes to all the surrounding theme parks to include his favorite...Universal Studios. While at the park, Sirdarius was given a "Genie Pass" that provided him a VIP experience to include special entry to rides, access to hospitality areas, backstage tours, and photo opportunities. Best of all, he was on his dream-come-true just in time to celebrate his 12th birthday!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Sirdarius's birthday a jammin' dream-come-true. The happy memories for this special little boy and his family will last longer than a car ride home...they will last a lifetime."
